Poster presentation guidelines
There are two poster sessions, on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 April, 2024. During the poster sessions there will be many delegates walking around and you are therefore required to be present to discuss your poster with any delegates that are interested to know more.
- Poster displays will be limited to one side of a portrait style tack board. The recommended poster size is A1 = 594 mm X 841 mm (=23.4 X 33.1 in)
- It is suggested that the layout of the poster includes: “Introduction,” Methods,” “Results,” and “Conclusions”
- Include your contact information for attendees who desire further information
- Keep text to a minimum and emphasize figures and graphics (avoid large tables of raw data)
- Use high resolution photographs
- Keep consistent margins
- Keep line spacing consistent
- Keep the color, style, and thickness of borders the same
- Keep shading consistent
Specifications for presenters
- Posters should be provided and mounted during the early bird registration and icebreaker event, on Sunday, April 14 between 19:00 – 21:00. Assistance will be provided by the conference team as well as pushpins or adhesive tape to mount your poster
- Costs associated with creating and shipping the poster display will be the responsibility of the authors
- It is recommended that you hand-carry your poster to the conference, using tubular packaging or a portfolio case
- Refer to the conference program for the time of the poster sessions
- The designated poster presenter should be present at the assigned space during the designated time to discuss the work presented
- It is recommended that you utilize handouts, leaflets or other material to supplement your poster
- The posters should remain on display until Tuesday 16 April 2024 and ideally should be removed between 18:00 and 18:30 on that day, at the latest
